By using SnapyFile, you confirm that you are able to form a binding contract, that you accept these Terms, and that you agree to comply with them. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, govern your use of the Service.

SnapyFile provides free, browser accessible tools for converting, merging, compressing, editing, and otherwise manipulating PDF and image files, including tools that use third party AI processing (Chat with PDF, Translate PDF). The Service does not require account registration. We may add, modify, or remove tools and features at any time.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

When you use a SnapyFile tool, your file is uploaded to our server for the time needed to complete the specific operation you request, then it is automatically and permanently deleted, typically within seconds. We do not use a database to store your files. For the Chat with PDF and Translate PDF tools specifically, the text content of your document is sent to a third party AI provider (Google's Gemini API) to generate the requested response. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

You agree that you will:

• Only upload files that you own or have the legal right to upload, process, and distribute
• Not use the Service to process, generate, or distribute any content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or that violates the rights of any third party
• Not upload files containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or its underlying infrastructure
• Not use automated means (bots, scrapers, excessive parallel requests) to access the Service in a way that degrades it for other users
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

You retain all ownership rights in the files you upload. By uploading a file, you grant us a limited, temporary license, not exclusive, solely to process that file for the sole purpose of performing the specific operation you requested, for the brief duration necessary to do so. This license terminates automatically once the file is deleted from our server. We claim no ownership interest in your files or their content at any time.

Chat with PDF and Translate PDF rely on a third party AI service (Google's Gemini API) to generate responses. AI generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your intended purpose. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any AI generated answer, summary, or translation before relying on it, particularly for legal, medical, financial, academic, or other consequential purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI generated content and are not liable for decisions made in reliance on it.

The SnapyFile name, logo, website design, and underlying software (excluding your uploaded files and any open source components used under their own licenses) are our property and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, or reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law or with our prior written consent.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, including, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error free operation. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free
• Any file conversion, compression, or edit will be free of errors, formatting loss, or quality degradation
• Any AI generated output will be accurate or reliable
• Defects will be corrected

You use the Service at your own risk.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SnapyFile and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, business opportunity, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (which, for a free service, is zero), or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or warranties, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SnapyFile, its founders, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your uploaded files or content, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any rights of a third party.

We reserve the right, at any time and without prior notice or liability, to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it), including individual tools, temporarily or permanently. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8 through 11) will survive.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
